Well hello. You might already know that Spokane’s summer weather is glorious, but do you know about all of the fun events you can attend? Maybe you are looking to move here or simply need new ideas for fun things to do. Well, whatever camp you fall in, you are in the right place because today’s blog is all about summertime in Spokane and the exciting events you can attend.
My name is Desiree Renshaw, a top producing realtor in Spokane, Wa, and I specialize in helping people buy, sell, and relocate to this fantastic city.
Arbor Crest Winery
When warm weather arrives, what is better than an outdoor concert? Perched 450 feet above the Spokane River with panoramic views of Liberty Lake, the Spokane Valley, and Downtown Spokane sits the beautiful headquarters of Arbor Crest Winery. All summer long, they host live music every Thursday and Sunday evenings. So pack a picnic drink some wine while dancing and watching the sunset with friends. It’s super fun.

Spokane Symphony Summer Concerts
To keep the summer music momentum alive, the Spokane Symphony puts on concerts at seriously cool venues throughout Spokane and Liberty Lake all summer long. Last year you could find them at brick west brewery, beacon hill, the pavilion at liberty lake, and every labor day, they end this series with an incredible show at Comstock Park.
Bloomsday
Although summer officially starts on June 21st this year, I don’t think it would feel right to exclude Bloomsday from this list. This event happens every year on the first weekend in May and makes everyone think summer has arrived. Over 50,000 runners, walkers, and joggers race 7.46 miles through the streets of downtown Spokane
South Perry Street Fair
South Perry is known around town as an “up and coming” area, but the South Perry Street Fair has been rocking and rolling since 1999. The Perry District is fun even without this event, but now the streets are packed with live music, local vendors, and artists selling everything from clothing to art and food.
Pig Out in the Park
Block off your calendar because this next event lasts six days and is called Pig out in the park for a reason. This food and music festival features 85 concerts and over 40 food booths with 225 different menu items.
Hoopfest
Finally, Hoopfest. The world’s largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament occurs at the end of June every year, where approximately 24,000 players come from 44 states and six countries. Downtown Spokane is packed with exciting games spanning 45 city blocks! Beyond basketball, it is an outdoor festival with shopping, food, and interactive entertainment.
As you can see, there are so many fun events, and I am not even scratching the surface!
